Authentic, Contemporary, and Relevant to Life

Chogyal Rinpoche Association

The Chogyal Rinpoche Association e.V. was founded in 2017 as a non-profit organization. Its founder and president is Chogyal Rinpoche, whose main seat is in his home country, Nepal, near the town of Pharping. He travels and teaches regularly throughout Asia and Europe as a representative of Tibetan Buddhism, is widely known through his presence on various social media platforms, and has a dedicated circle of students worldwide.

Tibetan Buddhism, in its various forms, schools, and meditation practices, possesses a rich reservoir of knowledge and methods that are continuously developed by authentic teachers. At the same time, the teachings offer practical guidance for our increasingly complex daily lives. The subtle interplay of effective methodology and insight-driven understanding brings both presence and clarity in every situation, as well as active, compassionate engagement with the world as it is. In this sense, Tibetan Buddhism can also be described as practical life guidance and a lived form of humanism.

Recognize Your Nature.

The Chogyal Rinpoche Association aims to promote the tradition and richness of Tibetan Buddhism and to make its expressions in philosophy, art, and culture accessible to all who are interested. Particularly in Western countries, there is a steadily growing audience open to its insights, offerings, and methodological paths. Our events, publications, and contributions to interreligious and intercultural dialogue are directed at this audience.

Additionally, we support social projects in Nepal, schools, the creation of teaching materials, the deployment of teaching staff, as well as the construction or reconstruction of sites for the transmission of religious knowledge and wisdom. In Nepal, we work closely with our sister organization, the Nepal Buddhist Association.

We pursue exclusively non-profit objectives. All involved persons work on a voluntary basis.
